The Michigan Activity Pass will allow
library users with a valid library card from one of Michigan's nearly 400 public
libraries to print a pass, either from home or at the library, to one of the nearly 60 participating institutions. Passes may provide free admission, special discounts or other exclusive offers for MAP pass holders. BRCL has five passes for each of the participating organizations from Monroe to Mackinaw City to Marquette, and all points in between! Check it out before your next vacation

Library Patrons: Important Notice!!!!
Library Users, the Big Rapids Community Library is withdrawing from the Michi-Card program on July 1st. This means that if BRCL is not your home library, you will need to purchase a non-resident card as of July 1, 2013 to continue checking out materials.
This decision has not been made lightly; due to budget cuts, the Big Rapids Community Library cannot continue servicing so many patrons from neighboring communities at no cost. Also, with MelCat we are finding that the majority of our home library patrons are not traveling to other libraries to check out books. Instead, they are ordering them to be delivered to BRCL through the MelCat program. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause some of you, but we encourage you to either purchase a $25 non-resident card to continue to use the Big Rapids Community Library or to check out what your own home library has to offer. We appreciate your patronage.
